25th Anniversary Game Celebration – Game 1

The Blue Jackets will welcome back the organization’s first head coach Dave King along with four former players from the inaugural 2000-01 season for the first of five 25th Anniversary Celebration games, presented by Toyota, on Saturday, October 18.

Prior to the team’s home game vs. the Tampa Bay Lightning at Nationwide Arena, the club will recognize King, along with defenseman Rostislav Klesla, forward Kevin Dineen, goaltender Ron Tugnutt and defenseman Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre. This marks the first event in a season-long series spotlighting notable alumni and moments that have defined the Blue Jackets’ 25 years in the National Hockey League (NHL).

As part of the festivities, season ticket holders will have the exclusive opportunity to attend a private luncheon with the alumni on Friday, October 17. On Saturday, King and the four players will participate in an autograph session beginning at 6 p.m. on the Nationwide Arena concourse. The alumni will then be recognized in an on-ice ceremony prior to puck drop, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.

Additional games are held on Saturday, November 15 vs. the NY Rangers (presented by Nationwide), Saturday, December 13 vs. Vegas, Saturday, January 24 vs. Tampa Bay (presented by OhioHealth), and Saturday, March 21 vs. Seattle.
