Finished his three-year NHL career with 13-24-37 and 223 penalty minutes in 179 outings with the Blue Jackets and Tampa Bay Lightning from 2002-07.
Made his NHL debut with the Lightning on Oct. 10, 2002 at Florida and collected his first NHL point with an assist two games later on Oct. 18 vs. Atlanta.
Notched his first career NHL goal on Nov. 15, 2002 vs. San Jose (Evgeni Nabokov).
Added 32-37-69 and 296 penalty minutes in 110 career American Hockey League games with the Syracuse Crunch and Hamilton Bulldogs from 2003-05.
Went on to play 14 seasons in Russia in the KHL and VHL from 2007-22 and served as captain for Avangard Omsk (2007-10) and Ak Bars Kazan (2014-19).
Helped Salavet Yulaev Ufa win the 2011 Gagarin Cup and Ak Bars Kazan capture the 2018 Gagarin Cup as KHL champions.
