Was the first Ohio-born player to be drafted by the Blue Jackets and made his NHL debut with the club at the age of 18 on Oct. 9, 2003 at Atlanta.
Scored his first career NHL goal on Nov. 20, 2003 vs. Detroit (Manny Legace).
Set single-season career highs with 12-15-27 in 59 games with the Blue Jackets in 2006-07.
Finished his five-year NHL career with 34-42-76 and 103 penalty minutes in 256 outings with the Minnesota Wild, New York Rangers and Blue Jackets from 2003-09.
Added 20-33-53 in 90 career contests in the American Hockey League with the Syracuse Crunch from 2003-10 and was selected to the 2010 AHL All-Star Classic.
Went on to play five years in Switzerland from 2010-15 and retired from hockey after notching 9-11-20 in 46 games with the ZSC Lions of the Swiss national league in 2014-15.
Represented the United States at the 2004 (gold) and 2005 IIHF World Junior Championships.
Spent his junior hockey career in the Ontario Hockey League, totaling 71-84-155 in 135 contests between the Sarnia Sting and London Knights from 2001-05.
Won an OHL championship and the CHL Memorial Cup with London in 2005, earning CHL Memorial Cup All-Star Team honors after posting 3-3-6 in four Memorial Cup contests.
Played a season in the North American Hockey League with the Cleveland Barons in 2000-01.
