- Began his NHL career with Columbus, posting 4-12-16 and 10 penalty minutes in 61 games in the club’s inaugural season in 2000-01.
- Made his NHL debut in the first game in Blue Jackets history on Oct. 7, 2000 vs. Chicago.
- Scored his first career NHL goal on Nov. 29, 2000 vs. Philadelphia (Brian Boucher).
- Played in Switzerland following the 2000-01 campaign, suiting up for HC Lugano in the National League A from 2001-06.
- Returned to the NHL with the Minnesota Wild for two seasons from 2006-08 and notched career highs in assists and points with 3-17-20 in 51 outings in the 2006-07 campaign.

- Earned a silver medal at the 2006 Olympic Games and earned seven medals at the World Championships (one gold, four silver, two bronze).
- Spent his junior career in Finland’s TPS program, playing for TPS U20 in the Jr. A SM-sarja from 1988-91.
- Transitioned to coaching after his playing career, serving as an assistant coach with TPS U18 in Finland’s junior league in 2018-19 and as an assistant coach with Storhamar in Norway’s professional league from 2019-22 and for HC Ajoie in Switzerland since 2022. Has also served as an assistant coach for Latvia’s international team since 2022.
