- Played one season with Columbus, appearing in 11 games and posting a 2-3-2 record with a 3.30 goals-against average and .871 save percentage in 2006-07.
- Made his Blue Jackets debut in relief on Dec. 16, 2006 vs. Chicago and earned his first victory with the club after stopping 13-of-14 shots faced in relief on Jan. 16, 2007 at Chicago.
- Finished his nine-year NHL career with a 96-67-21 record, 2.69 GAA, .906 SV% and 17 shutouts in 215 games with the Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Blues, Pittsburgh Penguins, Buffalo Sabres, Blue Jackets and Edmonton Oilers from 2001-12.

- Represented the United States on four occasions, playing in three IIHF World Championships (2004, 2005, 2011) and the 2004 World Cup.
- Named the Best Goaltender at the 2004 IIHF World Championships after leading Hockey USA to a bronze medal with a 2.14 GAA and .934 SV% in five contests.
- Compiled a 57-23-12 record with a school-record 2.17 GAA at the University of New Hampshire from 1997-2001.
- Was tabbed a two-time All-American (1999-2001) and a finalist for the 2000-01 Hobey Baker Award. Inducted into the UNH Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008.
- Following retirement, joined the AHL’s Peoria Rivermen as a goaltending coach for the 2012-13 campaign before serving as the goaltending development coach for the Blues from 2013-17.
- Has worked as the goaltending coach at his alma mater, New Hampshire, since 2019.
